Jorge Rodriguez-Jimenez is a digital editor, writer, social media manager, and nonprofit communications specialist based in Los Angeles and West Virginia specializing in LGBTQ+, Latine, entertainment, political news, and community development communications on national and international levels.
Jorge has spent the past 10 years diving into the intersectionality of the LGBTQ+ and Latine experience through the lens of politics and entertainment. Recently, Jorge has worked in the nonprofit space with the West Virginia Community Development Hub uplifting stories of community development stories from communities across the state of West Virginia. As a writer and then editor for we are mitú, Jorge worked to create an LGBTQ+ voice with the Latine space that the community was lacking. Over the years, Jorge has explored the nuances of immigration, healthcare, media representation, and culture at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and Latinx experiences.
While working in digital media, Jorge has developed a strong knowledge of various social media platforms and how to utilize them to join trending conversations. Striking while the iron is hot and properly leveraging social platforms to push relevant content is at the heart of Jorge’s work in digital media.
